I met Alejandra at a Christmas Party hosted by her significant other, who happens to be the Love Necklace Campaign 2018 Spotlight Donor. She and I visited about her home country, Guatemala, which borders Belize, where I live, and support two women’s shelters through The Love Necklace Campaign.
San Pedro, Belize is a quintessential tropical island with sandy streets that line the shore and the cobblestone roads that carpet the town square. It’s a Caribbean city where tourism flourishes. The beaches are lined with wooden piers, and boats power in and out of the Meso American reef, as long as the sun is shining.
The Love Necklace Campaign means something different to everyone, but we are a community and I believe it is important for us to know one another, what inspires us, and what gifts we bring to the women we serve through The Love Necklace Campaign.
