PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This is an eight-week, one-on-one storytelling experience designed to help you take something you desire and turn it into a story you can actually write.

Together, we'll identify what you want to explore, create a narrative around it, and learn the art and craft of storytelling as you develop your work.

It may begin as fiction until it isn't.

You'll learn how to:

• Identify what you desire and what you want to bring to life

• Create a compelling narrative around that desire

• Develop character, conflict, theme, setting, and structure

• Build a detailed outline to guide your writing

• Write the story into life, one chapter at a time

• Revise and strengthen the work as it develops

• Have fun with the process of discovering where the story takes you

BY THE END OF EIGHT WEEKS

• A completed manuscript ready for design, formatting, and print

• A detailed understanding of the art and craft of storytelling

• A repeatable process for developing and writing stories

• The experience of taking an idea from imagination to finished work
